Included will be a 30-minute riding lesson each day that will focus on walking, trotting, posting and guiding. Horse care will also be a focus of the camp while campers care for their individual horse throughout the week. Learn about careers in the equestrian field, horse safety, how to care for sick horses, how to identify different breeds and how to load a horse into a trailer. Field trips, art projects and other camp activities will fill the remainder of this adventure. The following riding gear is required: riding boots or heavy leather, lace-up (no Velcro) tennis shoes and long pants (no shorts or capris). Required riding helmets will be provided.

The crew of the Sea Star offers instruction on deep-sea fishing and introduces the campers to the exciting sport of saltwater fishing! The rest of the week includes trips to fishing spots such as lakes, the YMCA Aquatic Park, and more in search of the biggest catch. Y-Transit service is designed to add convenience for parents by offering six-local bus stops where campers can travel to camp. There are 3 routes. See which one works for you: Nothern Route: - Valley Jr. High on Valley St. - Aviara Olds Elemtary on ambrosia Lane. Easter Route: - Carrillo Elemtary School on Poinsettia Lane - La Costa Meadows Elementary on El Fuerte st. Southern Route: - Eart Warren Jr. High on Stevens Ave. - Torrey Pines High on Del Mar Heights. Campers are required to sign-up for this service in advance with the registration desk. Campers can NOT ride on the bus until 24 hours after they have registered. Y-trasit does drop off at both locations (Ada Harris Elementary and Main YMCA facility) but is NOT able to shuttle campers between the two.
